Ways to be Involved with P.R.A.N.C.E.

Volunteer a few hours of your time each week with a riding class for a ten week session, or during one of the many horse camps offered at P.R.A.N.C.E.  Therapeutic riding volunteers roles include leading a horse, sidewalking beside a horse, grooming before and after riding, and helping prepare a horse for riding.  Camp volunteer roles may include therapeutic volunteer roles and may also involve supervising children, helping with arts & crafts, preparing snacks, general cleanup, etc.

Fundraising volunteers help during fundraising activites throughout the year.  This may include helping at the Southampton Craft Show, the garage sale and helping to generate and act upon new ideas.

Horse sponsors pay $210.00 per month to sponsor one of the therapeutic horses.  Sponsors enjoy the personal use of the horse they sponsor, without the hassles and normal expenses.  Sponsors can enroll in lessons, use the indoor arena, and enjoy the trails. The horse's tack is provided, and some boots and helmets are available.  Sponsoring a P.R.A.N.C.E. horse is considered a charitable donation, and tax receipts are provided at the end of the year for the full amount of sponsorship.

LET US INTRODUCE YOU to Peggy - our teaching horse. Peggy helps our new riders feel confident while learning how to mount, turn left and right and whoa. Peggy draws a huge crowd and the children love to be shown how to steer her. Melissa, Kat and Mary, instructors and volunteers from P.R.A.N.C.E., were at the Maple Fest with Peggy. They all had a great day!!!
